A lifelong movie fanatic, Lissa Coffey studied film and television at UCLA, where she graduated with a degree in Sociology.  While in college, she was one of the dancers on American Bandstand.  Lissa’s first job in the entertainment business was as an intern on The Mike Douglas Show.  She followed that up with a job in Special Projects at ABC Entertainment, where she helped plan a lot of lavish 1980’s parties.  She eventually segued into local news as an anchor and reporter.  In 1990, Lissa formed her own company, Bright Ideas Productions.  She’s written and produced award-winning music videos that have aired on Nickelodeon, Discovery Kids, and The Learning Channel.  In 2005, she received a commendation from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for her “Dosha Yoga†DVD.
Lissa is the author of six books, including the bestselling What’s Your Dosha, Baby? Discover the Vedic Way for Compatibility in Life and Love.  The founder of CoffeyTalk.com, Lissa also blogs for The Huffington Post.  She’s been on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and local morning talk shows all around the country.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County.
